-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Let me be the first to say thank you. Thank you to everyone for all of your hard work and dedication to this wonderful thing we call CrossFit! But more importantly, thank you for being part of our Endemic family! Kristy, Venassa, Ben, Raph and myself could not thank you enough for your continuing support of us as coaches as well as entrusting us with the important task of helping all of you reach new heights.
August proved to be a sort of growth spurt for many of our athletes. Many athletes who have dedicated countless hours, poured sweat, cried a little, bled a little, and even got frustrated in the past began to see the fruits of their labor. Julie, Jordan and Alana got their first unassisted pull-ups, Derek and Rob got their first bar and ring muscle-ups, Yatska got her first box jump (not without a little oopsy though!), Amanda got her first double under, Kelli ran her first 5k, Candice shaved 10 minutes off of her previous 5k time AND did Karen. These are only a few of the many worth noting.
We also set personal records on the military side, with Trevor scoring his highest ever on his APFT and thomas running an 11:32 2 mile, the fastest he’s ever ran. These accomplishments do not come easy, everyone has put in the work required, congratulations!
We also had a lot of new members join our tight little family this month, welcome to the Endemic Family Alyssa, Chelsea, Robin, Brian, Hanz, Liz, Nicole, Kelli, and Rob!
September is another important month for everyone, with the added stress of school I can’t tell you how important it is to make time in your day to come to the gym, it’ll help keep you sane. I look forward to seeing every one of you in the box this month!
With respect and appreciation,
–Clayton
